I was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio and have recently graduated from the Columbus College of Art & Design. With both of my parents being artist, I always knew that I wanted to follow in their footsteps. I first became interested in photography in eighth grade and it has stuck with me ever since. In the past few years I have also developed a love for printmaking and illustration that I can’t imagine not having at this point.
I’m influenced a lot by bright colors, interesting clothing, unusual faces and posing, and food. This usually results with images that are engaging at first glance, but become more evocative with another. With a focus on portraiture, I most enjoys photographing people close to me, whether it be my sisters, friends, or just myself. Animals, made up creatures, and strong line work make up most of my drawings and prints. I think I just like making weird, but cute stuff.
